I went to Sentosa for a fish foot spa with Lock and some of his colleagues. It’s a surreal experience where these tiny fish ‘eat’ your feet. It’s marketed as like an exfoliant thingy… Odd, but fun and quite relaxing once you get used to the sight of hundreds of tiny fish nibbling at you.

Ah the Merlion.

The best thing about this pic isn’t the way my dodgy auto camera managed to get the water droplets in mid air, but rather the ice-cream smeared all over the boys face. Classic.

Crossing a bridge to reach a lookout point. Apparently the lowest point in the northern hemisphere… I think?

And so ends the day at Sentosa.
Next up…

Riding on the shuttle cart to the monkeys…

A curious passenger.

Finally we get there. There’s loads of primates at Singapore zoo. I’d say they’re the biggest attraction. Monkeys, baboons, orangutans, plus some I’ve never heard of before. The ones in this photo look like they’ve had bad ’80s perms done.

The white tiger. Really incredible to see up close.

Ahem. All of us.

After the zoo we went to Holland V for dinner. We were eating Laksa outside and this pub was across the road. A live band was pumping out Powderfinger covers and the Rugby was on the screens. Not that I’m a fan of Rugby or Powderfinger, but regardless, it reminded me of home very much.

We rounded out the day/night with a trip to Dempsey for drinks, dessert and laughs.

Been meaning to do a post on this for a while, so here it is. My art actually has priority over Sonic the Hedgehog on the Spanish Orange website. I was pretty pleased about that, even if it was short lived.
It’s the first time my art has actually been used in a completed project. It began as a humble mobile phone game and something I honestly did not think would go as far as it has come. Now it’s being distributed all over the world, China, Europe, India, the UK etc.
Thanks to Ben at Traction Games for all his hard work and Paul for getting me involved in the first place.
I actually redesigned my website!
Yes it’s very simple. I did it over two nights after work and have yet to create a proper header banner image. But this will do for now.
My last site was very simple, this new one even moreso. I’ve always been a big fan of simplicity and the concept for my website always has been to provide an easy, neat solution for employers to see my work. I always imagined if, in real life you showed your employer anything, it should exist so concisely that it fits on one page. Well there it is, 1 page, nothing else. No links, no multiple galleries. Not even a navigation system.
It’s been fun learning CSS properly and not just hacking things together. Lately I’ve decided to work on my techinical skills more and it’s really rewarding when things ‘work’ and more importantly, they work properly in an efficient, robust way.
Ok that’s it from me for now. Yes this post is boring - more art and pretty pictures coming soon :)
