With that I’ve gotten a very solid picture of how drawing works, from the micro details like hatching technique or lighting, to the broader things like, developing ones style or breaking through drawing ruts. 

This is the beginning of a series of posts about drawing. Basically my attempt to condense all the knowledge I have into a resource that I hope people will find useful. I’ll try to get some practical step by step tutorials going too, but the most important thing I stress is understanding/theory, rather than the memorisation of steps and regurgitating them. 

It might get a bit abstract or theoretical at times, but overall I’ll try to keep it light and digestible yet insightful.
